FlipAPenny

Scams & Phishing in FlipAPenny

The world of FlipAPenny is full of hustlers. Two forms of scam — and the red flags that give them away.

Scams come in two forms:

Trade Scams

NPCs offering items worth far less than they claim. Low-trust NPCs on risky trades are the biggest culprits.

Feed Phishing

Fake notifications in your feed offering “free items” or “special deals.” Tap and you lose money or items.

Watch for red flags: deals that seem too good, unfamiliar NPCs pushing urgency, and offers with no way to inspect the item first.

Insurance can recover some scam losses, but only if you've declared inventory honestly. The cheaper fix is reading every offer carefully — see the trading guide for risk tiers and trust ratings.
